Privacy policy
We take your privacy seriously. This page explains what we collect, why, and what control you have.
Who we are
We operate The Divorce Guide UK, a digital educational product for people preparing for divorce in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
Lead details: your first name, email address and, if you choose to provide it, your mobile number, when you request the free guide.
Purchase details: your email address and the payment reference supplied by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Toolkit content: anything you enter into the workbooks, checklists, planner and notes, stored against your account.
Why we use it
To deliver the free guide and the toolkit you have purchased.
To provide your private dashboard and save your progress.
To send you occasional guidance by email, where you have asked for it. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Lawful basis
We rely on performance of a contract for delivering the toolkit, consent for marketing emails, and legitimate interests for keeping our service secure and functioning.
Who we share it with
Stripe, for payment processing. Our hosting and database provider, for storing your account and content securely. Our email provider, for sending the messages you have asked for.
We never sell your data, and we never share the content of your workbooks or notes.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept as long as required for accounting purposes. Your account content is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Your dashboard content is protected by row-level access controls so that it is only readable by your own signed-in account.
